We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Contracts & Business Development Team Leader to drive our growth and safeguard our commercial interests. The ideal candidate will proactively identify potential projects and new clients to secure tender invitations, while utilizing their technical expertise to manage the full contract lifecycle, mitigate risks, and lead a high-performing team in the construction sector.
Responsibilities
- Conduct strategic market research to identify new business opportunities.
- Support the development and execution of strategies to drive revenue growth and secure new contracts with high-value clients.
- Supervise the contracts lifecycle, from initial lead generation to contract negotiations. Act as a senior point of contact for key clients and oversee team members’ client relationships.
- Direct the preparation of comprehensive tender submissions and proposals. Lead collaboration with internal teams (e.g., engineering and project management) to ensure all documentation is accurate and compelling.
- Support the team in cultivating and leveraging relationships with key clients and strategic partners to secure long-term business and identify new opportunities.
- Provide day-to-day guidance and mentorship to team members.
- Ensure all business development reports, contracts, and documents are prepared, finalized, and archived in full compliance with ISO standards, company regulations, and to meet the department KPIs.
Requirements
- Tech/ B.E. in Civil Engineering.
- Minimum 6 years in construction, with at least 2 years in a Senior or Leadership role.
- Proven experience in Construction Contracts Management and Business Development
- Added Advantage: Proficiency in Chinese (Mandarin) is highly preferred to facilitate communication with potential Chinese clients and to identify business opportunities within the Chinese market.
Skills
- Strong understanding of tendering procedures, estimating, and negotiating contract terms.
- Excellent negotiation, presentation, and coordination skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and ability to interpret AutoCAD.
- Proven ability to lead a team effectively under pressure and meet tight project deadlines.

- Must be at least 30-40 years old.
